What We Do
Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) is a branch of occupational therapy that focuses on helping children develop the skills they need to, want to, or are expected to do, to participate in everyday activities or “occupations”. These occupations can include play, self-care tasks, school-related activities, and social interactions. Pediatric occupational therapists work with children who may face challenges due to developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, physical disabilities, cognitive impairments, or other conditions.
The goal of pediatric occupational therapy is to enhance a child’s ability to engage in activities/occupations, promote independence, and improve overall quality of life. Therapists use a variety of interventions and activities tailored to each child’s specific needs.
